Most of you know that I love Makeup Revolution. The products are affordable, great quality and I am yet to be disappointed by them! I recently picked up Fortune Favours the Brave palette by Makeup Revolution, which is a collaboration with British Beauty Blogger and I absolutely love it. You can read my last Makeup Revolution post here.

First Impressions

The packaging of Fortune Favours the Brave by Makeup Revolution is so beautiful! The box itself is gold and the palette is this gorgeous gold colour. I’m so thankful for palettes with mirrors because the lighting near my mirror in my university accommodation is located in such an inconvenient place with no sunlight, so this palette means I can sit at my desk (in front of a decent sized window) and do my makeup easily. It makes the palette perfect for travelling too!

The brush in this palette is so much better than those sponge brush applicators you usually get with highstreet eyeshadows. While I wouldn’t usually use the brushes from eye shadow palettes, it is possible to create a look just using the brush from this one. One side is the brush to apply base eye shadow, and the other side is a blending brush. They are a bit small but it’s a useful save if you forget to pack your brushes.

Shades

There are thirty shades in Fortune Favours the Brave by Makeup Revolution and they are all super lovely. The pigmentation is so good on the matte and shimmery shades, but I do like a heavy shadow look sometimes and the glittery ones do tend to go all over my face when I apply them. Which is a pain because I then have to reapply my foundation again. But apart from this, I really don’t have much to fault about this palette.

My favourite shades from this palette are Latte, Pink Diamond, Peachy and Sunset Hour. These are the ones I’ve been going to most regularly, but I also love a pinky eye look using Buffer, Peachy, Favour and Pink Diamond.

I haven’t touched many of the darker shades yet because I haven’t had the occasion to – but I would love to try the blue and purple shades soon, especially Brave and Twilight… so dreamy!

I really hope you enjoyed this review – I love Fortune Favours the Brave by Makeup Revolution. Let me know what your favourite shades are.
