Seventeen was probably one of the first ever makeup brands that I tried. I remember using their eye shadows way before I had any idea how to blend or even use makeup brushes at all! I have recently revisited Seventeen and their products have so much to offer. I was so happy when I received the Brows That Brow Kit* and Falsifeye HD! Mascara* from them! I’ve enjoyed testing the products for a couple of weeks and here are the results! You can purchase the products in Boots stores and online in the UK.
Brows That Brow Kit
It has been so long since I used a powder and pencil to do my eyebrows with! So when I received the Brows That Brow Kit* from Seventeen Cosmetics I was excited to give it a go again. I have recently been using a NYX Brow Pomade (see this post) and this is so different to work with.
First, I use the brow pencil to outline my brows in their natural shape. Honestly, my natural eye brow shape is unknown to me. I never over plucked them or anything when I was younger, they just never seemed to grow haha! Basically I mean I try to outline my brows to make them look the best they can.
I then use the brow wax to fill them in. The brush provided is okay to use if you’re on the go and don’t perhaps have one of your own to hand; otherwise I prefer to use the Brow Brush from the Real Techniques Starter Eye Kit because it’s more angled. I then top this off with the setting powder.
I haven’t been using the highlight from the Brows That Brow Kit because I prefer to use the Collection Lasting Perfection or the Seventeen Skin Wow! Concealer. However I found that it is a lovely subtle highlight to pop on top of these.
After a full day of wear I have to say my brows have been looking quite good! When not set with a brow gel they do tend to look a bit all over the place, but it is easily fixed!
Falsifeye HD! Mascara
Since going cruelty-free, I have been on the search for a new mascara for a while! I was so excited to try the Falsifeye HD! Mascara* from Seventeen Cosmetics when it arrived.
When I first saw the applicator for this mascara, I will admit I was a little worried! I’m really one for chunkier applicators, I find them a lot easier to control and use. Otherwise, I end up stabbing myself in the eye. Not a good look.
Despite this, I am impressed with the application of this mascara. When purchasing a new mascara, the thing I look most for is how much volume it will give my lashes. My eye lashes are quite long already so the lengthing effect of mascara isn’t my main priority.
The mascara gave me so much volume and even extra length for my eye lashes and I love it. I always curl my lashes before applying mascara and it holds them in a lovely curl throughout the day.
