NYX Cosmetics has finally come to the UK in many Boots stores, yay! I rarely shop at Boots because I’m way more of a Superdrug gal (10% student discount is always a yes from me), but recently NYX are a brand that have completely drawn me in. My local Meadowhall counter is am-az-ing!
There are four double sided counters that are also staffed, so dreamy. After my birthday I picked up a couple of products that I have been using every single day since I purchased them.
NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade
I can’t believe it has taken me so long to try a brow pomade! For so long I have been loving and using the brow products from Sleek MakeUP. However, while browsing the NYX Cosmetics counter I decided it was about time I tried a brow pomade. I decided to get the Nyx Cosmetics Tame and Frame Tinted Brow Pomade. Oh my. Literally, the moment you use a brow pomade you will wonder why you used anything else to do your brows.
I got this in the shade ‘Brunette’ but it is definitely a bit too dark for me. Next time I go I will be getting the next lightest shade and use them both together. I apply it using the angled brow brush from the Real Techniques Starter Eye Kit (that I posted about here!) and it is so much easier than what I expected. It’s so quick to create a gradient brow look with this.
This was £5.50 so definitely affordable! I want to try the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade at some point, but for now this will do me fine!
NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray
Again, this is a product I haven’t ever tried before. I have always been more of a setting powder kind of person but I have always seen people talk about setting sprays. When I saw the NYX Cosmetics Matte Setting Spray, I simply couldn’t resist! I got the matte version of this spray instead of the dewy one because I usually go for more of a matte look.
With with the weather getting warmer I think I will get the Dewy one too for more of a glowing look too. It makes my makeup last all day long and it dries pretty quickly on your face with no stickiness at all. I would definitely recommend this if you’re new to setting sprays, as it only cost me £7.00.
Which products have you tried from NYX Cosmetics? I know I definitely need to try their liquid lipsticks! I recently picked up their foundation so let me know if you would like me to review that too.
