I can’t believe we’re half way through Lush Week already, I hope you’re all enjoying it! You can catch up on the previous Lush Week posts here, here and here. Another day, another Lush face mask! I recently reviewed the Cosmetic Warrior face mask and I have nothing but praise for it.
I received the Cupcake Face Mask in the goodie bag* from the Lush Sheffield Blogger Event and I’m so happy I did because I was literally choosing between that and Cosmetic Warrior – and I left with both! This one is a little different and is a great deep skin cleanser.
I won’t lie and say that I picked this up because of what it does and not because it looks/smells/feels like chocolate. Guilty. I have combination skin so one day I’ll be super oily and the next really dry. Cupcake has done the job of reducing that and cleansing my skin well at the same time. It’s ingredients include rhassoul mud, cocoa powder and vanilla absolute – so you can see why I sort of want to eat it. It also includes peppermint and spearmint which are great skin toners to include in a face mask. This is also one of Lush’s Vegan products, yay!
Cupcake is definitely a face mask I’ll be coming back to. I’m not sure it worked as well at calming my skin down as Cosmetic Warrior did because I tend to have a lot of breakouts, but I’m hoping that Cupcake absorbing the oils in my skin will help fix that on its own. Also, if you take five clean empty plastic pots from Lush back into store they’ll recycle them and you’ll get a face mask for free – how lovely!!
Have you tried the Cupcake Face Mask? What do you think of it?
