There is never a time when I can walk into town without going into Superdrug. It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago so I decided to treat myself to a small cruelty-free Superdrug Haul! I was surprised I only got one thing that was makeup but it’s nice to stock up on things you need every once in a while. Also let me know what cruelty-free products you would recommend in the comments of this post. I’m only buying cruelty-free beauty now and I’m really excited about it!
Cruelty-Free Superdrug Haul
The first things I got in my Superdrug Haul were from the new Zoella Beauty collection, Sweet Inspirations. I picked up the ‘Double Créme’ Body Cream and the ‘Life is Sweet’ Beauty Bag. The packaging of these products is so adorable and sophisticated in comparison to her other two ranges, they seem a lot more luxurious! The scent of the sweet inspirations range is inspired by macaroons and all things lovely so definitely try it out! I’m going to pick up the body mist too as I am such a fan of the Zoella Beauty original collection.
B. Blending Sponge and Powder Brush
The next things I got were from B. Makeup. The only other product I have tried from the brand is the B. Makeup Brush Cleanser and I’ve been using it for months now. I got the B. Blending Sponge (I can’t find a link online at the moment, but if you go instore it has been reduced £3.32, bargain!) to use for blending concealer under my eyes because it is a lot smaller than the usual Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge that I use for foundation. Also from B. I got their Powder Brush. I’ve been after a large powder brush for quite some time and I was going to opt for the usual Real Techniques, but I thought I’d try a different brand for brushes and I’m excited to get using it. It is also reduced from £9.99 to £6.65 so I couldn’t say no, could I?
BB Cream “Light”
The BB Cream in the shade ‘Light’ was what I bought from Superdrug’s own brand. I for some reason haven’t tried a BB cream before so when I saw this it went straight into my basket! With the small burst of hot weather we had a couple of weeks ago, I quickly got annoyed with wearing foundation. I wanted something a lot lighter while giving me a bit of coverage. Wearing it on top of a moisturiser is lovely and doesn’t feel heavy. I’m going to try using the BB Cream as a primer too underneath my foundation!
MUA Luxe Strobe & Glow
Finally onto the only makeup item that I bought in my Superdrug haul! I absolutely love accentuating my cheekbones and I’m a sucker for a shimmery highlight. I picked up the MUA Luxe Strobe & Glow Highlight Kit in the shade Pink Luster. It’s also available in a shade called Pearl Gold which I think I’ll get next time! The packaging on this is so beautiful and it is definitely going to be out on my dressing table and not inside my makeup bag. You open the compact and there is a mirror and a gorgeous shimmery highlight, and if you flip that up, underneath is a strobe cream. I can’t wait to use this, I’ll maybe do a post about all of the highligher products I use in the future!
Have you done a recent Superdrug Haul? I’d love to read it!
