I can’t believe that it’s July already and time for a June favourites post! It genuinely feels like my birthday could have been a week ago, not a month ago! I’m back in Sheffield for a couple of months now, and I’m so excited to see my family, friends and cats again! Also what has been with the weather in June?! I usually remember it as being sunny every year but it’s been non-stop rain! ANYWAY, I’ve been loving so many things this June and it took me so long to choose these products. I think there’s a good mix here so grab a cuppa and enjoy!
Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser
As I am now going cruelty-free I needed to replace my beloved Simple moisturiser for a new one from a different brand. *In comes Liz Earle*
For at least a few weeks now I have been using the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for Dry/Sensitive skin and it has definitely earned a place in my June Favourites. Oh my goodness. This moisturiser is so dreamy. At this time of year my skin is definitely a lot drier than usual in the mornings, so this moisturiser is saving me. I apply a fair amount all over my face after I have washed it and it works wonders.
Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream: Bittersweet
Liquid lipsticks are the trend at the moment so a few weeks ago I decided to pick up the Sleek Makup Matte Me Lip Cream in the shade Bittersweet. I love it so much. I haven’t worn a normal lipstick for so long because I am always reaching for this. It’s a gorgeous dark matte pink. However, the first time I wore this lipstick it looked awful because the product seeped into every crack in my lip. I did a quick search on Twitter, and popping lip balm on first does the trick! It’s extremely long lasting but definitely attempt a top up after eating. It also doesn’t expire for three years. Yeeeeees.
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint: Sugar Apple
I’ve been wearing this shade of nail polish ALL MONTH so I had to include it in my June Favourites. The Barry M Nail Paint in Sugar Apple is such a gorgeous pastel shade. I do have to say I’m not a huge fan of the Gelly Nail Paint from Barry M because I find it SO DIFFICULT to apply. Maybe I’m just awful at nails, but I can’t fault the colour or lasting power of these nail polishes.
I use the Barry M Basecoat Topcoat & Nail Hardner all in one polish first because it works wonders for my nails. I think I got this for about £2? After that’s dried I pop a couple of coats of the Gelly Nail Paint on top and voila!
The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel
Myself and Dee were shopping for birthday presents for our friend Holly when we saw The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel. We ended up picking one up for her, and another for myself! The scent of this is so fresh citrusy and lovely. This was £3.99 for a 250ml bottle and it’s a nice change from my usual It’s Raining Men shower gel from Lush. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and it makes me enjoy showering when I’m in a rush. Shower Gels are also reduced to £3.00 in The Body Shop at the moment, go quick!
