Concealer is an absolute life saver for me. It covers my blemishes, dark circles and everything I want to be rid of while illuminating my skin at the same time… What’s not to like?! It’s a great alternative to foundation when you want a little cover but don’t want a full face of makeup. Here are my favourite drugstore concealers!
At the moment I’m regularly switching between two drugstore concealers which I love. The first being Rimmel’s Wake Me Up Concealer. I think this was the first concealer I ever purchased for around £5 and I’ve been buying it over and over since. It has a dewy coverage much like the Wake Me Up Foundation and is great if you’re wanting a glowy highlighted look. The shade I have (natural beige, I think?) suits my skin tone so well and I find it really easy to blend with my foundation. I also love that this concealer has an anti-fatigue effect and a vitamin moisturising complex – two things that are a plus from a concealer!
Next on my list of favourite drugstore concealers that I’m loving right now is the Collection Lasting Collection Concealer. Nearly everyone everywhere has tried this concealer and a few weeks ago I FINALLY managed to get some in Superdrug. They’re always sold out?! I have this in the shade ‘fair’ which is the palest shade and I love it. It’s a perfect handbag size and could easily fit into your clutch on a night out. It’s not as dewy as the Wake Me Up Concealer and has a better and longer lasting coverage. It does a lovely job of covering my dark circles (mainly from lack of sleep…) when set with powder. For £4.19 this is a great concealer and I really wish I bought more than one.
Last but not least is the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in the shade Light. This one uses a sponge applicator which I’ve not seen on any other concealer have (or maybe I’m not looking enough!) and it’s so much easier to put underneath my eyes than other concealers. I just pop it under my eyes and blend using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and it looks quite natural. This one is a bit more expensive than the others at £7.99 but I’ll definitely be repurchasing it as a staple in my makeup bag.
