As I haven’t written a favourites post since July and it is a bit late to do a September Favourites post, I thought I would just do a Cruelty-Free Beauty Favourites post instead. Going cruelty-free is such an easy change to make and there’s so many wonderful cruelty-free brands available on the highstreet.
Here is a roundup of the cruelty-free beauty, skincare and hair products that I have been loving throughout August, September and October.
Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Moisturiser
AD | Product sent for review from Dr Botanicals.
In my last post, I reviewed the Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose collection. Since then, I haven’t used another moisturiser apart from the Moroccan Rose Moisturiser. It’s done amazing things for my skin and I’m going to be so upset when it runs out! It smells amazing, pink and reminds me so much of candyfloss. What more could you want?
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
The next product I have been loving is Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. I know that everyone under the sun raves about it but honestly, it is amazing. I have the 200ml bottle which came with two Liz Earle musling cloths. I tend to use this as my second cleanse because I am useless at taking off my eye makeup with it (I end up looking like I’m going trick or treating) and it seems to get rid of any skin problems I have.
It’s definitely one of those products that you can feel working. I featured the Liz Earle Moisturiser in my June Favourites post and the Cleanse & Polish accompanies it nicely.
Benecos Summer Collection
AD | Products sent for review from Benecos.
Benecos is a new brand I recently discovered when they emailed me asking if I would like to be sent some samples from the Benecos Summer Collection. Of course, I said yes! I love trying new brands and I couldn’t resist when I saw the colour choices they had.
I was sent two lipsticks, one in the shade Watermelon (£6.95) which is a gorgeous deep red with some purple undertones. The other lipstick is the shade First Love which is a pink colour, but is a little too out there for me for everyday wear. I also was sent an eye shadow single in the shade Apricot Glow (£3.95) which I have been using as a base for my eye makeup. You can purchase products from Benecos here.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is something I hadn’t used much before coming to university. Most of my days start at 9am and I definitely don’t always have the time or energy to wash my hair every morning. The Batiste dry shampoo has been a lifesaver for me. My hair never looks unwashed, but it always feels a bit off at the roots when it’s been a couple of days.
I have the Opulent Oriental scent and super lovely. I apply the dry shampoo all over my roots and then brush it out. It leaves my hair feeling a lot more refreshed so I can go to my lectures without worrying about what people think of my hair!
Barry M: Super Natural Eye Shadow Palette
Barry M are a brand that I want to start using more and this month I have been loving their Super Natural Eye Shadow Palette. This is a small, handheld palette with eight colours. This is my go-to palette for university days or when I’m popping out for a coffee. I do love the larger palettes but sometimes, there’s just too much choice!
This Barry M palette has a mix of nude, neutral and shimmery eye shadows. My favourite shade (they don’t actually have names, sorry!) is the shimmery copper one. It’s perfect when you dampen your brush and pack it on, it looks wonderful! This is available exclusively to Superdrug here for £6.49 (plus 10% off with an NUS card).
Illamasqua Precision Ink Eye Liner
The Illamasqua Precision Ink Eye Liner has been my go-to liner ever since I recieved it at an Illamasqua Blogger Event that I went to in the Summer. The tip of this liner is so fine which makes applying eye liner so easy. It’s perfect for doing cat eye flicks! I have this in the shade ‘Abyss’ which I believe is the darkest shade. The liner lasts all day and doesn’t smudge too easily.
That’s all of my Cruelty-Free Beauty Favourites this month! I really enjoyed taking the photos and using Halloween confetti. Let me know what products are your favourites at the moment too!
