For the past year I have been saying I want to get a camera. Well, you can probably guess from the title of this entry that I finally went out and bought one!

Throughout sixth form and college I was able to rent cameras from the institution to complete coursework tasks. The same applies to university with a loan system including cameras, tripods, lenses etc. However, now studying a BSc Media Production degree I wanted a camera of my own, so I picked up a Nikon D3200 DSLR with a 18-55mm lense included for £169.00 from PC World.

The camera is 24.2 megapixels (my phone is 16MP, so I’m pretty impressed!) and has a shutter speed of 4fps. I haven’t bought a memory card yet so I haven’t got any example photographs to post at the moment, but I hope to purchase one from the university on Monday. Hopefully I’ll have some to show you soon!
